“I am overjoyed to tell you openly that I had been suffering for more than fifteen years because of hatred toward my father and my mother.

I was unable to forgive. But the message of blessing lifted me to a new level—to forgive so that I could have peace, and to bless so that I could be healed.

One night, when my father came home drunk, he raped me. When I told my mother what had happened, instead of comforting me, she cursed me. She said that if the story became known, my father could end up in prison.

Later, she told my father, and he beat me severely, warning me never to tell anyone.
Yesterday, during your conference, when you asked us to think about the person who had hurt us the most and to relive that pain for a moment, I thought of them. I felt the pain all over again. I cried intensely from grief and emotional pain. It was the hardest exercise I have ever done.

Then I forgave them both and blessed them.

I was healed.

That night, I slept from 8:00 p.m. until 9:00 a.m. the next morning like a baby”
