Father's wound healed

In this beautiful story about the power of the father’s blessing, I have changed some details to maintain confidentiality. A couple I knew were talking with me one morning and the conversation turned to a situation which provoked a conversation about the effect on a person of a “father wound.” I could see that tears were beginning to form in the eyes of the woman and I explained to her about how I did the father’s blessing over people and how it brought healing and deliverance. I could do it for her. She agreed. What about now? Yes. 

We left the husband where he was and moved to a private space. Somewhere in the course of talking and blessing her, she shared that her father would hit her and her sister too. As I blessed her she cried and cried. Then I got her to sit down to compose herself. But the story continued. Someone known to the family wanted to abuse her and her sister sexually. Too frightened to tell dad. 

I gave her a father’s hug, a first I think. Her whole body shook and trembled as she wept still more and then demons left. After a while I gave her back to her husband saying he now had a new wife. And so she is. Laughing, loving, and smiling freely like never before. 
Jesus said He came to heal the broken-hearted, to set captives/prisoners free. He’s in the same business, except now He’s doing it through believers by the power of the Holy Spirit within. We have such a loving and beautiful Jesus who wants to minister through us to a world in pain.
