Week 29: A Business Turned Around in Egypt

When Covid-19 came, tourism in Egypt collapsed. Hotels emptied and the streets fell quiet. And Mahmoud, a local tour guide, suddenly had no work at all.

Days turned into weeks. The savings disappeared. Some evenings there was no food in the kitchen.

Then a friend handed him a small book: The Awesome Power of Blessing.
As he began to read, something stirred in his heart. He said:
“ The Holy Spirit opened my eyes. I realised I was not helpless. I could bless.”

So he did.

Every morning, he stood in the doorway of his small office and spoke blessing:
“ I bless my business in the name of Jesus.
I bless with favour in the marketplace.
I bless with increase.”

He did this day after day, even when nothing seemed to change.
Then, quietly at first, the phone began to ring.

One booking. Then another. Then more.

While many guides in his city were still waiting for work, God multiplied his business—far more than before the pandemic.

He said:
“By blessing in faith, God increased my business ten times.”

Today, he still blesses—every day.

Praise be to God, the One who multiplies the works of our hands when we speak blessing in faith.
