Week 34: The Father’s Blessing She Never Received

Shannon had been given a small booklet—just a simple little book on blessing. She didn’t expect much from it. But as she began reading, she soon realised that something so small could carry extraordinary power.

One section, The Father’s Blessing, stopped her completely.
As she read those words—words of love, affirmation, identity, protection, and delight—something deep inside her broke open. Her earthly father had already passed away, and although he may have expressed such love later in life, she knew she had never heard those words spoken over her when she was young.

The tears came.
Then more tears.
She said later, “I cried and cried. I took those words for myself, from God.”
