Week 39: She Blessed Her Husband — and Her Heart Was Healed
Share
As told by a pastor in DR Congo
One day after a blessing conference, I received a phone call that deeply moved me.
As the woman spoke, I found myself in tears.
She said, “Thank you so much, man of God. My name is Daphrose. You were with us last week.”
Daphrose reminded me of the moment during the meeting when I invited people forward — those who were not sleeping well, those suffering from chronic stomach problems, and those with heart conditions.
She had come forward.
During the prayer, I spoke these words over them:
“I send the power of blessing into your bodies in the name of Jesus Christ.
I release your bodies from every wound and every curse that has caused sickness.
I proclaim a year of grace and blessing over you.
Be free — and testify.”
Then I asked them to do something very simple, but very powerful:
“Begin to thank God for your healing.
Pray. Pray again.
And bless those who have hurt you.
Bless everyone.
Release them.”
Daphrose told me that when I said this, she almost fell to the ground.
As she stood there, she suddenly felt a strong pain in her heart.
At that moment, the Holy Spirit reminded her of her husband — the man who had abandoned her and left her alone with their children.
For years, that wound had remained deep inside her.
Right there, she chose to obey.
She began to bless her husband.
She released him.
She forgave him.
She spoke blessing instead of pain.
And instantly, something changed.
The pain in her heart disappeared.
Daphrose had suffered from heart pain for six years.
In that moment, she was completely healed.
As she told her story on the phone, her voice was full of joy.
God had healed her body —
but He had also healed her heart.
A simple truth
Blessing is not only something we receive.
It is something we release.
Sometimes the greatest healing comes
when we bless the very person who wounded us.
A blessing for you:
I bless you to be free from old wounds.
I bless you to forgive where forgiveness feels hard.
I bless you to speak blessing instead of pain.
And I bless you to experience the healing power of God
in your heart, your body, and your life.
