Week 4: The Atmosphere Shifted
Share
The office atmosphere was not good. There was tension in the air, constant complaining, and people would gather in corners to gossip. The boss seemed not to notice.
Jean had just read The Awesome Power of Blessing and decided to put it to the test. She intentionally avoided the gossip groups and instead began to bless the business. She would even arrive early just to walk through the office and speak blessing—over the building, the work, the people.
Like the others, she didn’t particularly get along with the boss, but that didn’t stop her. Each time she walked past his office, she would quietly whisper a blessing over him: for wisdom, peace, and favour.
At first, nothing seemed to change. The tension remained, the gossip continued, and the boss stayed as distant as ever. But Jean didn’t stop. Day after day, she kept blessing—speaking peace, unity, creativity, and success over the workplace.
Then, something small shifted.
One morning, she noticed the usual gossip group was unusually quiet. Later that week, a colleague known for constant negativity made a surprisingly kind comment about someone else. It was subtle, but Jean saw it—a crack of light breaking through the heaviness.
The biggest surprise came a month later.
The boss, who never made eye contact with staff, paused at Jean’s desk. “Good morning,” he said awkwardly, then added, “I’ve noticed you’ve been coming in early. I appreciate your commitment.”
Jean smiled and simply replied, “Thank you.”
Inside, she was smiling even more. It wasn’t just the atmosphere that was changing. Her heart was changing too. The daily blessing had softened her resentment, replacing it with compassion. She no longer saw her boss as a problem to endure, but as a person to bless.
Within a few months, the workplace culture had noticeably improved. The complaints dwindled, conversations grew more constructive, and teamwork began to blossom.
No one knew what had sparked the shift.
But Jean did.
She had learned that blessing isn’t just words—it’s spiritual power, released in love. And quietly, persistently, it had changed everything.
