Week 6: A Father's Blessing Restored His Son

There had been a deep rift between a father and his sixteen-year-old son.
Whenever the boy brought home disappointing study results, the father, full of frustration, would speak harsh, hurtful words over him.

Their relationship grew cold and broken.

They stopped talking, stopped eating together, and shared nothing as a family.
Both carried deep wounds, but neither knew how to heal them.

Then one day, the father received a small book about blessing, translated into his language.

As he read the section on a father's blessing, the Holy Spirit touched his heart deeply.
He wept and repented, realizing how he had cursed instead of blessing the son God had given him.

From that day, everything changed.

The father began to speak blessings over his son, to hug him and to show him love.
Joy and laughter returned to their home.

What had once been dead and broken was made alive again — all through the power of blessing and the love of God.

And the son's grades began to improve — as if new confidence and hope had been awakened in him.

Blessing breaks the power of curses and calls forth life where there was death.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”
— Proverbs 18:21 (ESV)
